Xiamen, China (December 25th, 2014)-Milesight, the leader in IP-based megapixel video surveillance solutions, is pleased to announce that its cameras are now Onvif ProfileS certified. This officially confirms that Milesight cameras are seamlessly integrated with other ONVIF-compatible software and systems, making it a future-proof, flexible solution that can cut down long-term security costs.

ONVIF ProfileS, the global interface standard for IP-based video systems, describes the common functionalities shared by ONVIF conformant video management systems and devices such as IP cameras or encoders. It defines how these products send, configure, request, or control media streaming over an IP network. The protocol includes specific features such as pan, tilt, zoom control, audio streaming and relay outputs. ProfileS devices will enable MJPEG, MPEG-4 and H.264 streaming (multi-stream), event notification, audio output, etc.

Milesight network cameras' conformity to ONVIF ProfileS ensures maximum flexibility to integrate seamlessly with third-party products such as access control system, allowing customers to incorporate the most appropriate devices for their particular application, achieving widespread interoperability.
